At Indiana University, to create a meeting in Exchange that can use the Join Now feature in BlackBerry 10:

  1. From the calendar in BlackBerry 10, tap New Appointment/Event.

Alternatively, in Microsoft Outlook, click the Home tab, and then New Appointment.

  2. In the "Subject" field, enter a description.
  3. In the "Location" field, enter the phone number for the conference call.
    Important:
Correct syntax in the "Location" field is critical to the use of the Join Now feature. Any additional text added to the "Location" field can cause this feature to fail.

    If you're calling into a Meet-me conference:

    • For the phone number, use either 812-856-3600 (on campus) or 800-940-6112 (800 service).
    • To represent the pauses, you must use the comma (,) symbol, preferably four times.
    • Enter your conference PIN, followed by #.
      Note:
For more about IU Conference Call Services, see ARCHIVED: Telephone conference call services (Retired).
  4. Enter the meeting start and end times.
  5. If desired, set a reminder, and then:
    • On the device, in the upper right corner, tap Save.
    • In Outlook, click Save & Close.
