International Networking is responsible for planning and operation of the NSF IRNC Project SCI-0962968 (TransPAC3 award) and NSF IRNC Project SCI-0962973 (America Connects to Europe [ACE]), and for management of the TransPAC3 network and ACE networks. TransPAC3 is a 10G network connecting researchers in the US with researchers in Asia and South Asia (Pakistan). ACE is a multiple 10G network connecting researchers in the US to their counterparts in Europe. In addition to the technical responsibilities surrounding these networks, the group is responsible for an NSF project to develop an e-Science Workshop in India and for a small GENI grant to develop a set of guidelines for international connections to the GENI frameworks in the US.
