ARCHIVED: IUPUI STC summer upgrade schedule 2014

For summer 2014, the Student Technology Centers (STCs) and Residential Technology Center (RTC) at IUPUI will not be undergoing any Windows operating system upgrades, nor will there be a change in our baseline software offerings.

Following the end of summer II 2014, but before the beginning of fall 2014 (August 12-August 24, 2014):

• All Macintosh workstations will be upgraded to Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks).
• All Macintosh workstations will continue to offer Microsoft Office 2011.
• All Windows workstations will be upgraded to run 64-bit Windows 8.1.
• All Windows workstations will include the Classic Shell Start Menu.
• All Windows workstations will continue to offer Microsoft Office 2013.
• All STC workstations will continue to offer Adobe Creative Suite 6.

Notes:

• Submit your software requests via the New Software Request form.
• For the upcoming academic year (starting in fall), submit software requests by May 1. All other requests must be submitted at least 30 days prior to your "Needed By" date.
• Upload the media with your request. If you do not have the media, provide instructions or a URL for acquiring it. Your request is not considered complete until the engineering team has access to the media.
