The IU Secure wireless network at IUB, IUPUI, and IU East provides access to IU students, faculty, and staff, using WPA2 Enterprise (Wi-Fi Protected Access) for authentication. When connected to IU Secure, you have full, secure access to the Internet and IU services without needing a VPN connection.

Note: If you use the "IU Wireless" network at a regional campus, use the VPN (virtual private network) for authentication and encryption. See The basics of VPN at IU.

If you are visiting IU
If you are visiting IU and don't have an IU Network ID (username and passphrase), you can request a Network Access account that will allow you access to the wireless network. See Network Access account basics.
An agreement between IU and Purdue allows visitors from Purdue to access the wireless network as they would on their home campus. See Wireless access at Indiana University and Purdue University.
