ARCHIVED: Types of files you can stream on IU's streaming servers

Note:
The WWWDM service will be retired on June 30, 2018, and Digital Streaming Media account creation was suspended in April 2017. IU's Kaltura service is available to IU community members who need a media streaming service.

On Indiana University's streaming servers, you can stream the following file types:

  • Windows Media: You can stream Windows Media files ending with the extensions .wmv, .wma, or .asf. Streaming to Microsoft Silverlight players is also supported.
  • Flash: You can stream FLV, MPEG4 (H.264 video/AAC audio), and MP3 files from the Flash Streaming Server.
