Your Active Directory Services (ADS) Domain account

Your ADS Domain account allows you to log into IU's ADS Domain to gain access to a variety of network resources. It consists of a unique username and passphrase, and permits you to enter secured areas of the network.

Your ADS Domain account passphrase should be the same as your other UITS computing account passphrases. If you have an ADS Domain account but are unable to log into the ADS Domain, your passphrases need to be synchronized. To do so, use the Passphrase Maintenance utility at:

https://passphrase.iu.edu/

If you still have problems, contact either your local support provider or your campus computing support center. For information, see Campus Support Centers

If you do not have an ADS Domain account, you can create one through the web, using the Account Management Service (AMS) at:

https://itaccounts.iu.edu/

For step-by-step instructions, see Creating an ADS Domain account

Note: For information about managing departmental, student organization, or other nonprimary accounts (i.e., group accounts for which you are the owner) using the Account Management Service (AMS), see Managing your IU group or departmental accounts.
