Streaming audio and video over the web at IU

Indiana University currently supports streaming of RealMedia, Windows Media, and QuickTime file formats. For more information and an overview of the process, visit Digital Media Network Services' Streaming Media page.

Tools are not readily available to convert Windows Media (.wmv) files to the Real or QuickTime format. For more, see Converting Windows Media files

Getting an account on the streaming server

You must have an account on Webserve before you can have access to the streaming server. IU's streaming server supports the latest Real codecs, including RealVideo 9.
